So I did it. Graduated high school. I just got home. It’s 4:28 in the morning. No more annoying kids. No more easy homework. No more of that one teacher. It’s all over.
I was going to do this whole long post on things nobody wants to hear about and even the 4am half-asleep, half-“wants to cry” me knows this is bad.
I don’t know what else to say except that high school wasn’t my favorite. Mostly because it made me grow a lot as a person and doing so isn’t usually “fun.” Almost always it’s painful and uncomfortable. It always is worth it.
To all my classmates, I’ll miss all of you…to some degree..even though a lot of you are assholes.
It’s like that catcher in the rye quote where he talks about how he could never hate anyone because he’d always end up missing them..I feel like it’s sort of that way with high school.
Well, that’s all I suppose. The broken-down, analytical, embarrassing, raw version of that is this entire blog. And I’m leaving it behind. After this text post is published I will sign out and never (or at least for some time) look back. To the 3,518 of you, thanks for following me on this journey through high school. It was tough. Rough. But I made it. Goodnight. Good morning. Bye.
